We rescue sugar gliders with health problems.
Sugar Gliders are marsupials from the rain forests in Australia, Indonesia and New Guinea. They are arboreal (tree dwellers). They have a gliding membrane connected from their ankle to their wrist like that of a flying squirrel. Full grown they are about 6" long with a 6" to 7" tail. Being nocturnal, they have big black eyes that will immediately steel your heart away. They live in colonies and are very communal. They bond with their people and will die without attention. If you can't spend a LOT of time with your glider you should consider having two.
