The Beauty Of Grace
by Myrna Hunking

As I sit here in the summer evening
I watch in wonder
At the stars in the sky
Such a vast panorama of beauty
It amazes the human eye
And in the morning sun
I hear the birds singing
It's a song of praise to their Creator
They realize they have a maker
And if the birds can sing their praise
How much more can we lift our voice
To the One who saved us
By His grace?

The Conqueror
by Christina Lake

Death, envoy of the evil one
is crossing the earth in his hunt
dedicated to the job of draining
life from all souls.
We fight, never submitting to you
Menace Incarnate
Black rider of the world
Sorrow and sickness are your companions
Swift, murdering thief
Cancer of the soul.
You steal the body from mankind
victorious for a season.
Your hunt is not eternal
One day you shall be the hunted
when the Conqueror comes for you.
We, who are in His bosom, will say,
"Death, where is thy sting?"
You shall be the last to perish
sentenced by your very nature.
death shall be no more.

My Comforter
by Casey Patton

Lord, you've been with me through it all
through all my heartaches and pain.
You picked me up and reassured me in troubles,
and lighted my steps all of the way.

You never once deserted me
as I strayed down the path of wrong.
Instead you stayed beside me always
and led me back where I belong.

As my mind would boggle with confusion
and through the sleepless nights I thought.
You would come sit quietly beside me
and calm me with the peace you brought.

You've blessed me with all I need Lord
my home, my family, and my friends.
You have loved me unconditionally
from the beginning of time to the end.

You even sent your Son to die
so that I may be set free.
Throughout my life there's been no greater blessing
than the gift of salvation you've given to me.

Thank you for all you've done for me Lord,
I could never fully repay you in time.
In exchange for you giving your Son's life,
all I can offer to you is mine.

Depth Of Mercy
by Charles Wesley

Depth of mercy! Can there be
Mercy still reserved for me?
Can my God His wrath forbear.
Me, the chief of sinners spare?

I have long withstood His grace,
Long provoked Him to His face,
Would not hearken to His calls,
Grieved Him by a thousand falls.

There for "ME" the Saviour stands.
Shows His wounds and spreads His hands,
Jesus weeps and loves "ME" STILL.

Why?
by Jennifer S. Mayfield

I look towards the sky,
and ask God why,
why is life this way?

Did we choose,
or did we loose,
why are we here today?

For what purpose am I here?
Is the end coming near?
All these questions I ask,

Will you answer me soon,
that I will know by noon,
how to finish your willing task?

When will I know what to do?
I don't even have a clue.
What if I don't succeed?

Will you discard me in a pile,
or tell me I went down in style,
or will you give me what I need?

We all want something we desire,
and all we are sinners and liars.
Tell me why you love us so.

Why do you love us,
through all of our fuss?
I don't know how, I do not know.

Please guide us in our direction,
and fill us with your love and affection,
For all we need is love, guidance, and care,
and that will get us anywhere.
