Sunsets and Roses
by Susan Ward
As I sit by the window
what do I see?
A beautiful sunset and some roses
looking beautiful for me.
The sky is lit up
with pink, purple and red
as the Sun gets ready
to go to bed.
The roses are standing
some the color of sunsets hue
God created them lovingly
for me and you.
So as I look forward
to the end of the day,
I cherish my sunset and roses
and thank God for them when I pray!

The Barnabas Song
by Amy Woolf Garner
He awakens me morning by morning
and opens my ear to hear
His voice, the voice of my beloved redeemer
who reminds me that He is near.
His desire is to give me the pen of the learned
and wisdom to write very clear,
a word to those
who are weary in heart,
who need His encouragement and cheer.
Dear Rebel
by Amy Woolf Garner
Oh, man
you who imagines
foolish things.
Can you live one moment
without Christ;
the One who
causes you to triumph
through His gift of grace?
He made you in His image,
to be free,
to soar,
to rejoice,
and to bring glory to His name.
For without Him life has
no eternal purpose,
no enduring hope,
no deep settled peace,
and no song..
By choosing His will
you will reflect His grace
worked out in your life-
and oh what freedom
when you become what
you were created to be.
Nighttime Song
by Amy Woolf Garner
In Shades of night
His song shall be
always,
only what I need;
to lift me up,
to let me see
the nail pierced hand
that leadeth me.
No deepest gloom
His truth can still.
I'll proceed by faith.
His plan fulfill.
Submission
by Amy Woolf Garner
Jesus is my life.
I must feed on Him;
without His life
flowing
through me
I can do nothing.
For in fact
without Him
I am only
dust and
Water.
And pray tell me
what can dust and water do?
Make mud.
