Fade To Gray
by O'Conor
To remember the sweet dreams of moments dear
From places I loathed the waking of dawn
Concealed messages baring all in light and dark
Revealed to secret safety unaware of time
Silent spells of flowing confessions
The arduous search for worth in perfect union
Aching sight for streaming sorrow
Broken pieces of vows betrayed
Lasting days mirror endless night
Fervent melodies flee with the south wind
The case for peace and hope renewed
To rebuild a tower of trust destroyed
Considering all the joy and unbearable pain
I just cannot wait to fall in love again

God's Creation: From the Beginning
by Alan Schuetz
Before space and time,
The Father thought,
Through My Son, the Light,
Everything should be brought.
So all would be accomplished
By Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God began with a watery planet
And the atmosphere around it.
The waters were in darkness;
Without form was the earth.
Then God sent His Light
To usher forth a new birth.
Spiritual Light, God called "Day."
The Darkness, He called "Night."
Evening and morning - the first day
Witnessed His wonderful might!
To separate the planet waters
Both above and the deep below,
God said, "Let there be land,
A firmament." And it was so!
God called the atmosphere "Heaven,"
And the second day passed.
Evening and morning drew on
But, this would not be the last.
With the firmament still submerged,
God said, "Let dry land appear!"
So He gathered the surface waters;
Both from far and from near.
God called the dry land "Earth;"
The gathered waters, "Seas."
His creation was good,
And in it, He was pleased.
Then our mighty God said,
"Let the Earth sprout green grasses
And herbs and fruit trees
Yielding seeds in great masses."
The Earth burst forth,
And it all came to be!
Evening and morning had passed -
The closing of day three.
"Let there be lights,"
God Almighty then said,
"In the expanse of the heavens."
There is nothing to dread!
"For signs and for seasons,
For days and for years
To divide day from night."
Our mighty God has no peers!
Greater light rules the day;
The lesser rules the night.
The sun, moon, and stars -
Are good works in His sight.
All celestial bodies
God created to our dismay.
Evening and morning had passed -
Concluding the fourth day.
Then came sea creatures
And winged birds in the sky
God blessed them saying,
"Be fruitful and multiply."
Day five came and passed -
Another evening and morning.
What other miracles
Will He be performing?
Beasts of the earth
And the cattle in its kind
And every creeping thing
On the land, we did find.
But, God was not finished
With His wonderful plan.
For on day six,
He also created man!
From the dust of the ground
Our Lord, He did breathe
Into man's nostrils,
The Spirit, he received.
To man, God gave dominion:
Over birds and cattle and fish -
Even the creeping things!
To rule as he would wish.
Out of man, God formed woman.
A rib taken from his side
To make a suitable helpmate.
With him, she would reside.
This completes the sixth day.
Now came the time to rest,
God sanctified the Sabbath
His task completed with zest.
God made our universe
With the Father at its head.
And, He will make it anew
Because that's what He said.
Amen.

I see You in Me
Creating in me a new heart
Indian River Dawn
by William B.Coates
I stand at the silent river's edge
And watch a rising circle of sun
Send its path of foiled gold
Across the water's mirrored face.
On the shore's rocky rim
A cormorant bird spreads its wings
In grateful adoration
Before the red dawn's clouds.
Softly as an angel's breath
A great blue heron folds his priestly wings
And quietly drops beside me.
Then turns to me his pointed stare
And wonders if I came for prayer
Or stand alone in cold despair.
His question rises with the dawn
But cannot wait till dark is gone.
"Brother bird we are the same
We share God's sun and feel his rain.
For one more dawn we've braved the night
And from this shore, this place apart
We seek God's grace to leave the dark
And lift ourselves to fly again
On wings of praise and wings of pain.
Let us pray.
Path to Understanding
by L. Alan Schuetz
When I was in my younger days I thought
That I was saved and understood the Truth.
As I aged, I stumbled and grew distraught
For I chose the world and lost my couth.
An empty void resided in my heart;
I really didn't know which way to turn.
In my progeny, I must impart
The feeling in my soul I knew must burn.
Then, one day I searched and found the Way.
It surprised me -- not what I expected!
Only Your perspective was the ray
Of Light; the Hope to be inspected.
The Hebraic root of understanding
Is the path -- regardless of your branding.

It's Our Choice
by L. Alan Schuetz
Here I stand a sinner on the earth
Ashamed of my transgressions in the world.
How can I understand Your virgin birth
Without the Truth from God above unfurled?
You have existed from the dawn of time;
On the Father's right hand shall You rule.
Our teachers have deceived us; what a crime!
They have confused Your Greatness with the yule.
You came in flesh to save us from our sin;
Your blood provides salvation in Your Grace.
The Adversary knows he'll never win.
For now a choice confronts the human race.
In His Father's house His Bride He'll take.
Ev'n the Christian martyrs, He'll not forsake.
